Who rules the country?
The constitution is the highest law in the United States, which describes the powers of state power.
The US government is like a tree with a strong trunk and three branches. The trunk of people. They choose people who publish American laws.

The first branch is Congress. Congress meeting of representatives of all states. People elect these representatives. Congress passes laws that everyone must obey them. Congress is divided into two parts: the Senate and the House of Representatives. Each state sends two people to the Senate. This is what people call senators. The term of the senator is six years. Each state also sends people to the House of Representatives. They are called congressmen and congress of women. The term of the representative is two years.

The second branch is the president and his assistants. The US President is the commander in chief of the country's armed forces. A person who wants to become president must be born in the USA must be at least 35 years old and must live in the USA at least 14 years before the president enters. Americans vote for the November president of each leap year.

The third branch is the Supreme Court. It consists of nine judges. Judges work in the Supreme Court as long as they live. Americans are proud of their constitution. It was written over 200 years ago. There are 26 constitutional amendments
